at our ANNUAL CLINICAL MEETING 2017

September 24 - 27, 2017

This year’s 7th Annual Clinical Meeting is slated to be the most comprehensive and robust in our organization’s history. Join us in New Orleans and experience hands-on simulation courses that include didactic and interactive components, training skills stations utilizing the most up-to-date techniques, as well as clinical workshops on a variety of special interest topics. Learn some of the most innovative and advanced skills, all while networking with some of the top OB/GYN hospitalists and generalists, certified nurse midwives, OB/GYN residents and healthcare professionals from across the country.  

This year’s workshops will include:

  • OB Emergency Simulation:  Scenarios to include Shoulder Dystocia following Operative Vaginal Delivery, Amniotic Fluid Embolism leading to Maternal Code, and GYN Hemorrhage
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring:  M. Sean Esplin MD, returns to present fetal physiology as it relates to fetal heart rate tracing, principles of interpretation and intervention strategies.
  • Train the Trainer Simulation:  Enables participants to plan and prepare both high and low fidelity simulations within their units.
  • Ultrasound Essentials:  Jeff Dungan MD provides a hands on sonographic experience.
  • Hands on Training - Safe and Effective Vacuum and Forceps Applications:  Emmanuelle Pare’ MD and Aaron Caughey MD
  • Training skills stations:  Improve your clinical competency by participating in a variety scenarios encountered by the OB/GYN Hospitalist
  • Mind-Body Skills:  Learn ways to reduce stress and foster resilience and well-being, guided by Dr. Aviad Haramati.
  • TEAMSTEPPS:  Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety, training by AHRQ to improve communication and teamwork skills amongst health care professionals
