SOGH Appoints Dr. Meredith Morgan as Board President
At the recent SOGH Annual Clinical Meeting in Broomfield, CO on October 1, 2016, Dr. Meredith Morgan was elected as President of the SOGH Board of Directors for a one-year term. He is medical director of L&D at Houston Methodist Hospital — Texas Medical Center, a U.S. News Honor Roll Hospital, serving as the managing physician of the OB/GYN hospitalist program there since 2005. In addition, since 2008 Dr. Morgan has been the administrative physician of the program at The Woman's Hospital of Texas, an HCA facility which does more than 11,000 deliveries per year.
His academic affiliation is with Baylor College of Medicine as Clinical Associate Professor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Having been recognized by local, state, and national lay publications, he has been invited to list with Top Docs, Leading Physicians of the World, and Who's Who in American Business. As a founding member of SOGH, Dr. Morgan served as treasurer from inception until being voted President-Elect in 2015.
Dr. Morgan replaces Dr. Brigid McCue who served the SOGH Board as President for two years. Other appointments approved at the 2016 Annual Meeting included the election of Dr. Ngozi Wexler to the Board of Directors as well as the following officers: Dr. Tanner Colegrove, President-Elect, and Dr. Shefali Gandhi-List, Secretary.
